Due to economic reasons, Novels in Progress Workshop 2009 has been cancelled.

The decision was difficult, but it seemed the responsible one considering the tight budget under which Green River Writers must operate, recent losses it experienced with other sponsored events, and concerns about attendance for this year’s NIPW in light of the general economic climate.

While the cancellation of NIPW 2009 is sad news, this does not mean the end of Novels In Progress Workshop. The plan is to bring it back in 2010, when we will resume the success the conference has enjoyed over the last two decades.
